Joy in Creating a Blog

August 31, 2007

I’ve been wanting to publish a blog for awhile now; I’ve even had some people tell me I *should* do one. Well, here it is! After months of putting it off, I’ve finally reached a point where it feels right. I’m just diving in and doing it. Writing…out loud…on a blog…that people will see! (Holy sh*t!)

Yeah, there’s joy in this, if only because I feel like I accomplished something I’d wanted to for awhile. It’s funny how easy it is to prolong stuff like this - out of fear, etc. - and how good it feels to just get it done.

Here we go… Hope you all find as much joy in this blog as I’m sure I’ll find in writing it!

Megan– kudos to you for going after what you want and setting up the blog. Since I have spent nearly an hour here at the library checking out all of the “stuff” that you offer on your sight.. I do not regret a minute of it. I have begun to realize( through being introduced to this sight ) and contemplating situations I have been in recently, that my own reluctance has held me back from GROWING in many cases. It’s that fear of the un-known principle or not really truly KNOWING what we want for sure. It makes me relate to the quote… “The rewards of the journey far outweigh the risk of leaving the harbor!” It only shows us tht we will never get what we want unless we try to make it happen. Thanks for the food for thought I have gotten from you.

Hi, Donna! Thank you for taking the time to look at this site, and even more so, for commenting! I love the quote you referenced - it really hits home. Your energy is fantastic and comes through in what you write. I hope you’ll continue to share your progress as you move through “the un-known principle” (I think everyone can relate to that, and I know, personally, it’s HUGE for me…HUGE). Lots of love & joy to you!
